The Center for Research in Pure and Applied Mathematics (CIMPA) is a unit specialized in advanced research in mathematics, both in the theoretical branches and in the applications. The Center has played a fundamental role in the development of mathematical research at the national and regional level. The International Federation of Classification Societies (IFCS) groups the national or regional classification societies all around the world. The IFCS organizes an international conference every two years since 1987.
The 18th conference of the International Federation of Classification Societies will take place in San José, Costa Rica, on 15-19 July 2024.

The Latin American Regional Section (LARS) of the International Association for Statistical Computing (IASC) organizes every year an annual conference. The 8th Latin American Conference on Statistical Computing (LACSC) will take place in San José, Costa Rica, in July 15 to 19, 2024.
The conference will feature keynote speakers, invited and contributed sessions, and organized streams on specific topics. The Local Organizing Committee is working enthusiastically to make sure LACSC 2024 will be a successful conference and is looking forward to welcoming all of you in Costa Rica.
